A lot of people just think the Shadow Mantle in the game is basically what the entity speaking looks like, or that its Kris' devil horns wearing a cloak or w/e
or they seperate Friend from 'Eram' as a character, often even characterizing the latter as a master / commander of the former (or the former as a group of minions)

he become all corrupted & unable to be rendered- currently Friend doesn't have one of those. Good chance it came from the place Gaster ended up, or formed there or w/e
it comes out of the Junk Data, or the garbage signal, or the mixed up Third Sanctuary, or when TV World gets covered in snow / static.
