Iskanders license is the same way; gravity gun is, by all accounts, very useful if you know how to use it.

I think I'd submit either the Swordgrass for sheer mechanical flair (and Dark Souls references, since people really like those) or the Spectre for punching people in the face with lore flair if I had to redo my submission, but I'm quite pleased with the Haber, all in all. Thank you! Giving it its alt-fire really helped feed into the secondary controller identity of the Haber, because you have the option of remaining at standoff difference behind a fortification line and making a firebreak that enemies have to pass through to reach you - just as the chassis was used on Hercynia and during the Revolution.

My criteria for my choices generally involved asking:

  1. Is the rules text clearly written and free of errors?
  2. Does the mechanics content demonstrate at least some consideration for game balance and avoid obvious loopholes?
  3. Is the text formatted for comprehensibility or matching the existing standards of Lancer content using templates or at least an eye for organization?
  4. Does the purpose and application of the unit's functionality make sense or seem like it would be fun to try, even if it does have an analogue in other materials?
  5. ||Did I write it?||

The more "yes" responses, the more inclined I was to vote for it.

Other biases involved generally liking art, generally preferring new frames and license content to alt frames, and generally preferring brevity over complexity.

With all that in mind, everyone contributed a lot of amazing work and the whole decisionmaking process was a tough one. Everyone should take pride in their work and keep on improving it because it was worth seeing your creativity in action here.

personally my big vote was uriel, because its my favorite omdi frame so far and because i killed myself with it. which might take some explaining.

it has the ability to like, create a duplicate of itself, and i used it to flank two invisible enemies and swing it's big range plasma blade. but i didnt realize i was in the cone, and when i did i was like "fuck it this cant go that badly" so i attacked with executioner like 4 times and hit myself two of those times, destroying me while also killing the invisible enemy. good shit.

Each piece of the Loza toolkit manages to stand out and work with the Loza frame itself, which is fascinating, given the license focuses on tech attacks and the frame itself seems like a Heat-focused generalist at first glance (which it is but also the license gives it a fun direction, being rifles, Heat, and tech)
The decision for Water was really really hard, but ultimately, I'm a sucker for difficult terrain, and the flavor is really solid
Raphaelite wins out for me because it's mechanically tight and the fluff is incredible. What else is new? The other three are really good though and I have IPS-N artillery brainrot so the Ivan was especially strong for me
I... don't remember much about Block 5. Which is weird. I'll have to reread those.
Ghoul! Love some wide-scale terraforming and weird tech attackers. Simple as that.
Komainu, I don't recall exactly, but I remember thinking it was a neat defender. Just kinda won me over.
As funny as it would be to say that I voted for the Quetzalpapalotl because gay, it also just has a strong identity of search, scan, lock on, and shoot, 4 things that might clog action econ, but it manages to find a way to be cohesive, fleshed out, and flavorful nonetheless.
aaaand the Phaon Crescent. I have some thoughts on the frame, but mechanically it's very tight, and sells the fantasy of a momentum-obsessed adrenaline junkie very well. Also, I'm a sucker for getting a look at marketing in a frame's fluff, what can I say?

one of the big issues with the old terashima blade which was a fairly plain melee weapon with a chance to pull off a perfect damage reflecting parry is nobody ever took it to use as a sword
