Also, don't underestimate how quickly a team can fall apart when they're out of repairs. Full Stress and Structure can disappear in an instant, and CP / overcharge are vital parts of the equation. Lancer tends to be a game of "everything's going find, then we all die". Losing a PC mech (which can happen off just two structurings) puts them down in the action economy, and it snowballs fast. I totally get the appeal of running the train fight and the finale, but having the worst possible result (the laser fires) when they actually were supposed to have already run is devastating||
||A full repair before Powerhouse will be great, just make sure to still let them carry on if they lose Getting Railroaded. Maybe they lose time and have one less round to finish shutting down reactors. Bonus points though if you give them the regular rules and lie and claim that it was supposed to be eight rounds but due to their delay they have six. I just don't know how you plan to justify a full repair narratively in that time frame but that's up to you. ||

But it's still "fight this unshackled NHP and it's cascading bodyguard". And then obviously there's Feather, leading the cult. BUT! She's not the antagonist in act 1! She's enabling the antagonists, and enabled by then in turn. She's not even in the story directly. We see her effects, and some of her actions, but it's always someone else that you're actually fighting.||
(act 2 vague spoilers) ||She's also not the antag of act 2. That's all people. There is a cascading NHP in one chapter but she's not the antagonist either unless certain conditions are met||

I will say several of our IGF act 2 writers meetings have been derailed by the NHP topic. We've spent multiple sessions just discussing NHPs, how they work, how we want them to work, what sort of story we want to tell, what the metaphors are for it. And we haven't solved anything there either. There's still some debate and questions we're working out. It's a hard thing to deal with in Lancer and most stories in the setting will have to do all that work if they don't want to fall into one of the many traps and issues tehy can bring up.
