I will say when it comes to like. Demons and Angels and stuff in Sword and Sorcery. I find it personally interesting to approach it from the perspective of "are these forces, these personifications of concepts, people? ANd if not, what are they lacking to be people?" Because as modern Torment Nexi have shown us it is not hard for things that are not people to masquerade as them. However it's also difficult to pull that off well, especially since the big conceit of most non-humanoid things in D&D are like. reformed from the souls of normal people. Which makes executing the concept well even harder.

I think Armament Redundancy is a Band-Aid on a Bullet hole. System trauma is pretty swingy in terms of folk's experiences with it. Armament Redundancy reduces its consequences which makes it less swingy-ish, but if System Trauma was more tightly designed it wouldn't need to exist
