On an unrelated note: ||The other day here there was the topic about people using "clanker" to somehow refer to black people, I responded that I thought that was exaggerating, bc until that point I only saw content creators refer like that to automatons while playing Helldivers (like "haha, clanker, beep boop") or AI (like "eugh these weird images made by clanker gpt") and they weren't even white people doing it. Now I started seeing all these weird "comedic skits" of people acting like being in the 50s doing red neck accents "discriminating robots" while also using terms like "rust monkey" or names like "George Droid". tbf everything else aside its not weird that settings have racism. At its core fiction is still based off of the world around us and that's a place that has a lot of racism and similar hatreds (and I wouldn't even say that it's intrinsically better to make fictional worlds morally purer) and that's often where it's most impactful and useful. That's not to say that fictional settings should always have racism or that it's better if they do but like... It's not weird either.

Hell, Calliope as a system definitely has some pretty widespread racism in the lore section of act 1 when you look at what the anti-karrakin stuff must materialise as in practice.
