tbf I think using rebake NPCs probably makes mourning cloak a lot better.
MC has always had excellent offence and stellar license gear. In terms of pure offensive striker power and mobility, it's probably yeah one of the best main/aux strikers. It's just quite positionally reliant (although it gives you the tools to be that kind of mech) and it's probably the single mech that gets hit the hardest by how non-rebake NPCs have silly amounts of accuracy for no reason that makes dodgetanking much harder than it should be.

tbf dedicated artillery is the one role where an SSC mech is exactly what you want. High sensors and high mobility are the two things long range artillery want at the expense of everything else except maybe heatcap. And the deaths head actually has a decent heatcap.

id say the deaths head is about as good at oc looping as the everest and that's pretty good really. You really get a lot out of using single fire high damage weapons on a deaths head (like most of the ideal oc loop weapons).
That or you go crit fishing but that doesn't gel well with oc looping.
