Okay new storytime! Very carefully redacted spoilers so everybody can get some of it!
This is Stomp. He was a hell hound, one of Calamity's... not friends, you don't get to have friends in the Hell Hounds. But close enough. One time he stumbled on her looking at some old photographs in a hidden footlocker, chasing some nostalgia. He didn't say anything, even though that could have gotten Cal killed and him a promotion if he played it right. Later when some guys were harassing him and getting ready to do violence, Calamity intervened in a way that turned one of the harassers into the group's target without revealing that she was helping Stomp out. That's practically bestie status in the Hell Hounds.
Stomp was in the first fight of the first chapter, calling out the terms of engagement. He managed to survive and collect his wounded. After (BIG ch1 spoiler!) ||Andros died, he took off. Bounced around a bit. Met with Calamity on Hell's Gate while she did a Get A Damn Drink downtime which resulted in gaining Stomp as a reinforcement reserve.||
(ch2 spoiler) ||When the party was hired by Rita, Stomp heard about the deployment and let Cal know that he picked up a security gig on the Icebreaker so he'd be available if she called int he marker. He didn't tell her at the time (and I kept it from the player too) that the job was security at a certain theme park, in a mech dressed up in a fantasy theme... When the party got to Send In The Clowns, She was surprised, and they had a small exchange:
"Sup Cal"
"Sup Stomp. So... yeah."
"Aight"
and Stomp cataphract pinned the hive into a wall.||
After all that and more, Stomp was again a free-agent. Calamity had gotten in good with Elske and asked her if she'd be willing to give Stomp a chance. She said yes, and now there's a former hell hound who has managed to make good with the Code and become a Knight!

||Calamity used to be named Annabelle, and used to be a (i'm assuming ignoble) house guard/security officer/something of that nature in the KTB who was in love with/having an politically-problematic relationship with a noble named Aveline. Somebody found out, and had Calamity/Annabelle shipped off to the long rim.||
||after which she became a pirate, as per the text in IGF. But also, the noble Aveline came looking for her, and chose to use the name Annabelle as well, and then joined the cult, and then chapter 4 things happened.||
||so presumably, if a group got "Calamity" and "Annabelle" to meet each other, a happy ending is possible?||
