So the Theodosian Walls: Gaze upon it's majesticness. A layered defense that for over a thousand years was a unbreakable defense with it being a bit over Four miles wide, with the tallest (The third wall) standing at the height of about 12 or so meters tall meaning that at base a Barb would not be able to look over the Theodosian Walls.
As you might be able to tell the walls had a impressive moat which spanned the great length with water pumped directly into it and with pathways that could be easy destroyed or replaced to ensure attackers couldnt roll a battering ram right up to the gates of the Great Theodosian walls.
In theory if you were to fill the moat, roll a ram or a tower up hill to the second wall (After having to demolish the eight or so foot tall wall and avoiding the constant arrow and other fire) and managed to take it. You would then need to demolish that section of the wall and THEN Roll further up hill to the third wall! Which is all up hill and stands at a impressive height of 12 Meters

okay so during the permian period there were these little fuckers called 'synapsids' that were kind of a missing link between mammals and reptiles, they had leathery skin and more upright posture like mammals but still had a lot of reptilian traits. some looked like lizards but were genetic distinct from lizards because those are diapsids, not synapsids, it's all about how many opens there are in the skull
synapsids originated like 320 million years ago but didn't really take off and diversify until the permian, 300 million years ago, and around 280 million years ago started to show more mammalian like traits, but still looked pretty primitive to what he know. such animals included therocephalia, apex predators, gorgonopsids (my faves), cynodonts, etc
