so before archie existed they were just a single NHP, serenity. not the serenity i talk about here, an alternate version of her that was an athena class NHP. tl;dr she merged with two other NHPs, one being a horus security fragment that latched on to her systems from her poking where she shouldn't, and the other being ||a fragment of feather who is honestly just the sweetest baby||. i had the choice of getting rid of them, working out a deal, or merging with them. i merged with them and archie was born; still mostly serenity's systems but with personality traits from the other two

this part i don't want wren's players to read quite yet ||the reason why she decided to do so was because she hated herself. around 15 or more years ago she was within a deep cascade and did some awful things, like mass murder within some kind of warfare setting, and has been mentioned that she "doesn't care the slightest bit about human life." serenity woke up a year ago, pretty much a new person, but knowing that she, or whoever she was, did that hurt her. she wanted to be someone new, and lyra, her caretaker, said that she could become someone new moments before she went under to talk to the fragments. she took it literally, and thus archie was born||
