the way I do it is:

take the character's Subjective Age. Subtract 20. Divide by 3. Add 20 again

Which is to say, I think Lancer humans age at about 1/3 speed after they hit physical maturity

at least that would make sense with the line about "dying at 200 surrounded by your loved ones", which would be about 80 biologically

I mention how some of them are smiling. But Calamity sees something else in the crowd. Someone moving with purpose. A face that seems so very familiar... but it's gone in the shuffle of people and she needs to deploy. It's only as the team gets locked in for the nearlight bolt and she has a moment to wait that she remembers where she saw that face before: Rosé Bottle. She met her in a different life. In a timeline she saw during a TRIPLEPOINT simulation. A timeline where she was a spy for the cult. (The remix timeline, explicitly; the simulation was running a scene for another game inside my own game)||

(Ch5 final combat)(kinda stuff I storytimed before but recapping for dramatic purpose)||At the end of the fight, Calamity and Aveline(aka Annabelle Mckenzie) went to look for Ignatius. He dissolved into ash as per the book, but he saw her, and realized what Calamity had done. He was very close to her, like a father figure. When Calamity told him she died on boltzman, he cried with her. They knew her in very different ways, and they told each other stories. He couldn't make it to her funeral but saw that her possessions got to Calamity. So when Cal came out of the the fire gate and he saw Aveline, he figured out what happened. He turned to ash with a smile on his face.||

(CH5 downtime)|| This next bit isn't a spoiler I think, I mean, if you beat the last fight Capella straight up says he'll be back soon. You can guess that might mean Ignatius comes back. Maybe it doesn't! I'm not saying! But yeah in my game he does and Calamity knows it but hasn't told the rest of the team. Because a few days after getting back to Hell's Gate, Calamity and Aveline are eating lunch when Rosé Bottle suddenly joins them. Aveline knows her, and they have a heartfelt reunion. Calamity already suspects/knows that Rosé is with the cult, but Rosé confirms it. She's been operating on the gate for a while, and Ignatius told her to make contact. She's going to serve as a trusted backchannel for Ignatius to talk with Aveline... and with Calamity. He wants to know that they're both doing okay after everything, and maybe it would be useful to have a secure way for them to message each other sometime...||

I was more thinking that with how [Archie lore, don't read my guys other than meow]||hatchling and witchhunter are part of you and in a weird setup really where they're slightly outside of serenity's shackles||, they might be able to strike someone on specific other spatial dimensions ||(serenity being the largest constituent component + her shackles still being in place would still mean that archie only interacts with the world in 3D+time outside of this specific unstable attack)||. So we'd all visualise that as a contiguous arc that is also met by two other differently discontiguous arcs of lightning/flame whatever that meet at the same end point but well... the discontiguous ones would strike discontiguously.

(ch3) ||Rules as written: the pcs go first as usual. You could choose to have a pirate go first if you wanted though, nothing wrong with that. Just give one of the enemies the Viper's Speed trait. If you're wondering how to square an ambush with the players going first, consider that this is mech combat. Sensors and noise (less a problem in vacuum) and logistics (more of a problem in a twisted wreck) all mean that it's pretty impossible to get a shot on someone before they know you're there and get ready to fight.||

personality-wise? lynk is standoffish and honestly kind of awkward. they're generally chill with a side of snarkiness, but they can and will get violent (or, more likely, bottle up their frustration and not address why) if you push certain buttons
in the ||circuit||, i imagine lynk probably adopted an edgier persona? maybe? perhaps only in combat though
speaking of, lynk's role in combat is that of the hacky controller with maybe a tiny bit of support. their build has a slight focus on scanning, and so they keep doxxing the enemies and laughing about it, sometimes taunting them

lynk is part of striga's clique and has also talked to the (ch3) ||crone|| before the story started

Okay, I'll explain what I'm planning: (ch4 spoilers) ||one of my players has the Technophile talent. Their NHP (that goes by the name Swa for silly joke reasons) was found in a thought-to-be-tapped-out salvage field, and doesn't seem to belong to the wreck it was in, and has no memory of anything prior to be turned on the first time. ||

My idea, as GM, is that ||Swa is a clone of Triple-Point, an attempt to make a more-stable version of TP by stripping out some memories. The problem was, to actually get something stable they ended up stripping out everything. So they end up with a blank-slate babby NHP. Which isn't really TP anymore, and thus means TP, in its paranoia, considers it a threat/rival. I figure somebody gets told to get rid of it, and instead ends up hiding it. And maybe that somebody in Lynk.||

He was the original admin NHP for Hell's Gate, shut himself down at the end of the Pyrite age "until business improves" and got woken up shortly before IGF and realized that business was never going to improve unless he helped deal with the problems

he also now, due to a roll on the Go Diving tables from the Long Rim book, has a young lady by the name of Juicy K following him around and is trying to work out if she's a robot-chaser, has an unhealthy thing for older men, or actually genuinely likes him

If i wanted to run this at a higher LL, would simply upping the tier of the enemies work to make the fights function? or do i need to just go find a module that starts at a higher LL?

You can still run the misisons as is while starting at a higher LL, just when they reach LL5 be ready to start fileding Tier 2 enemies

in general, yes. The bigger challenge is pacing the LL increases. (General spoilers, GM talk)||Chapter 1 is relatively short and quick with fairly forgiving fights specifically because it's intended for LL0. Three fights, no ultras. Chapter 2 has four fights with a long rest in between, so for a more experienced, higher LL group that's pretty easy too (there's two optional additional fights after another long rest if they haven't succeeded in crippling the enemy operation).||

||Depending on where they're starting, you may want to change from when the book says they get a new LL. Maybe every other mission, or at least skip chapter 1. And if you end up loving the setting and story, act 2 is a work in progress and there's plans for act 3 which takes the story all the way to LL12. In that case you might want to consider drastically slowing the LL gain until they can line up with the book's expectations.||
