I would also assume that [Chapter 4]||Everything to do with everyone being dragged into the dream in the boltzmann mine is at least partially related to the mechanism by which legionspace works, if not just straight up a case of legionspace*. The asterisk being because technically speaking there's no actual legion here, just an NHP in deep cascade (although that plausibly gives similarly increased processing power)||
||probably also helps that TRIPLE-POINT is a clone of a legion-gestalt iirc. Although I'd assume that alone wouldn't provide the additional processing power. Eating the minds of all those people might help though.||

It's also worth noting that regular hacking also seems to be a thing and that legionspace attacks are something distinct. Quite a few weapon descriptions in Battlegroup mention "conventional systemic attacks" and how (a) they are constantly going on and (b) they don't work on the level of fleet legion, with the implication that legionspace attacks are these separate specialised things.

I think its plausible to read a couple of the horus tech attacks (specifically, metafold maze and maybe some of the other minotaur stuff and the gorgon's basilisk) as possibly doing something legionspace-adjacent to NHPs they hit but broadly I doubt that mech scale hacking operates on the same principles or results as legionspace attacks.

- "When you Boost while flying, you may move an additional 1d6 spaces, but take heat equal to half that amount.
Rivalry 2 is
- " You may Boost, moving toward your Rival so fast it counts as teleporting.

Well, teleporting, RAW, is supposed to count as one space of movement for the purposes of movement. However the 1d6 spaces is an addition to it.
If I was the gm, I would say, you can roll the addition 1d6 spaces, but you will take that half as heat+1 from the teleportation rule.

Think I'd say it works since it doesn't seem to break anything, it's still 1/scene and you're paying heat. But order the movement so the teleport is first and then the ace flight is tacked onto the end, so you will have to deal with stuff like engagement then
I'd also understand it if a GM treated it like Blackbeard's Reinforced Cabling where the Rivalry boost replaces your boost though

Not to do an , um achtually, here but since it is player side movement operations the player gets to choose the order of operations. So you could do the ace fly first before teleport or last after teleport
It's like how if you calban final secret a dude and implement knockback.
A caliban can choose to teleport the enemy spaces BEFORE knockback to make them fall into a pit, or vice verse of knockback first to then teleport them behind a wall

So I have a rule
If 2 peeps can't attend a session I would canncel, otherwise it plays without 1
Cos I have 5 players
If that player couldn't attend I would outright cancel the session
This is their mission
So first off
||I said if the party hear something or I describe something they may take 0-2 stress if they wish...||

||Described it as written, then I went to the kitchen and told my 2 NHP players to follow me, I told them that they are constantly on the edge, this close to breaking... Like when you're having a bad day and you are one stubbed toe from having a breakdown. You've lost your glasses and you're beginning to ache, etc... If they suffer ANY stress they take +1. ANd if they're in combat and cascade the check is on a 1-3. I then said that their perception of room was totally different. And described some paradoxical contradicting stuff cos they're NHPs.||
||I didn't get as much PvP as I wanted but there was a decent amount of shouting back and forth. But people knew it was a trick and pressed forth after minor shouting and suspicions raised but NOT here. The NHP clowncar player I asked their whispers and question beforehand because they couldn't attend. Another player wanted to ask their NHPs questions but because of what the PC who couldn't attend beforehand said... They were locked out of their mech...||

||This was my fave segment... I have been waiting for this for 2 PLAYER GROUPS! FOR LIKE OVER A YEAR OF WAITING FOR THIS SESSION!!!!!! I described it slow and bleak... The first person I described was... Just an icebreaker mutual security... The players didn't know them but they were dead... Then there were more corpses upon corpses and wrecks... Until they saw the dome of furnace city... And their path was through it.||
||The corpses here weren't armed... They weren't in mechs they were civilians... The first corpse they recognised was in a sherman mark 1... With a half burnt out cigar... Clip Magazine. They saw more people and they had to assure to eachother that this was false... This wasn't real. Around this point I realised one player had started crying||
||In retrospect I should have checked in, but they were roleplaying fine... We live and we learn. This PC was one of the NHPs, Calliope is their home. It is where they are free from their past life in ID. And it was all dead. The PCs had a long conversation here. I described|| Act 2 spoilers ||Mechs from the house of moments here and a player for the first time indulged in their backstory saying they might be here because of them... The player is also a noble from a minor house of the house of moments||
Back to Chapter 4 ||They proceeded onwards... For what felt like days, what felt like hours , what felt like seconds and what felt like years and saw more... through the lightless streets of the icebreaker, finding howl among a gory line of mech corpses, through the wreckage of some act 2 teasers I dropped in there as well cos I'm cheeky like that. Every corpse here died fighting... As Calliope does. Up to the last place they knew they had been dreading... A hab ring of the gate||
||As they boarded it the place was littered with wrecks and corpses... The place shot full of bullet holes and littered casings. A drake was sat there... The only movement they had seen all the time here that wasn't from eachother, millimeters at a time their minigun was still slowly spinning. And one of the players rested a hand upon it and stopped it. They moved them out the way as they moved on and saw more... They saw a Striga, Havok was hastily repairing broken mechs and McArthur was doingg their damndest to stop the station from failing. THey saw more people they recognised until the last figure they saw was Jerry... Additionally as they proceeded onwards|| Act 1 Finale spoilers ||Breaking the grammer, so about Jerry. I name dropped their rank, position and they were UNION DOJ here as they scanned him||

||When they got back, I described the Chapter one introduction... "You wake up to an alarm, hit the snooze button, etc... Then I asked the players one of the first things I asked them session 1. "There's a lot of jobs on the gate. When you're not doing militia duty... What is your job||
||The players went on until one noticed something was off, they all still had their memories. So the one who noticed first works for BARTENDER_MOTHERFUCKER at the GMS_GENERIC_BAR. when BARTENDER_MOTHERFUCKER just ignored them. So they all met up again, the party wished for simpler times... The Mechanic mech head party member who was just fixing up mechs, took in the moment. The PC who was crying who did lots of cubbying said after the session she was just sitting in the vents hearing the sound of hells gate... They wanted to stay in the moment but had to move on... So they found the dragons tooth, without Siren within it. They then got called to the SRT meeting where the SRT was picked. Jerry asked for a show of hands of who wants to volounteer. All the players did and got ignored until Switch, Zin and 3 other random Militia members signed up. Then their alarms went off, they woke up back in their rooms||
||This time they grouped up immediately, they went to Striga who... Actually first off they shoplifted some AI generated energy drinks. The text was like it was AI generated. Including the flavour Polk æ. Then they went on the pilgrimage to Striga. They knocked on the door and she responded... She said the following||

||They talked, she didn't know about time vampires... She was confused by the party and was (Not Capital n) normal as described by a player after the session. They went to the printer and tried printing things but it would just keep breaking and going back to what it was printing before. They did many acts which would have had them on hells gate Hung drawn and quartered by McCarthur. Then they went to Jerry's office||
||Shelly kept having a go at the party for not adhering to the line... Then would loop and forget what she was on about chatGPT style, threaten to call the militia if they kept causing a ruckus then not. Then ask them to leave because they broke the line... Pissed off the players until the left, cut into the FRONT of the line and WELDED JERRY'S ROOM SHUT. People started panicking Jerry started screaming, then everything started breaking GMOD style...||

||This bit I had added, it went lightning round through a moment of how the PCs remembered a moment from their memory||
||Starting with Harper... They were ungratefuls making their way through a corridor... Stealthing somwhere until gunshots were fired. Many died as they were ambushed... Blink, they were in a room. All of them were wearing Circuit clothes... Another circuit member spoke up and gave the briefing of and training to Hatch to tell them they were gonna spy on Hells gate. Left the room, then said "I'll be in touch and flicked a switch then everything went black...||
||There were cameras, there were securtity alerts... Information all over whereover from all across impact plaza. A torrent of too much information all over. On loop over and over, overworked...||
||Dear Liza breaks||
||They are in a room, it's a ballroom. There's a party everyone is dressed in fine Karrakin clothing, Dear Liza is hunched in a ball, everyone is panicking... Hillside pulls out a gun, and takes a shot at someone in the crowd. The flash is too bright||
||The flash stops, there's a mech... It's a hells hound, Kenzie is in it. She shouts something, this is her last job... She killed someone she didn't want to, she throws her weapon to the side and runs away||
||Everyone wakes up in the back room, the theatre... the locker room whatever it is... Dear liza is broken... and everyone else was on 8/8 stress||
||They explored the galaxy sized whiteboard that fit into their hand... Scoured it and spoke... They understood what was going on... and knew they had to end this... They gave a pep talk to Dear Liza who was stuck in her own thoughts... Word after word and she was back in action... They got in their mechs and left||

i went with reverse EVA rules, where mechs work normally in zero/low gravity and require EVA modules to not be slowed in normal gravity

if you start with the idea that you were going to run RBJJ, that means that as long as you're in zero G, you spend one less SP for better flight
Now if you weren't gonna run flight systems then, yeah, it does come off as an sp tax
But also flying over terrain is funny and nice
