I play an Iridian that was drafted by HA after a nasty conflict. His world wasn't Iridia prime, but a smaller world very explicitly Bloodborne themed
They lived with the beast Plauge, under a few paracaual entities they didn't fully understand, and my character was a Hunter. Someone who went out at night to combat the plague and protect the city.
HA showed up, brought mechs and plasma to a knife fight with god, and one of the entities made a deal with the Hunters to fight back. The Hunters lost that fight.
Que Moonlight Storybook, a Hunter who's people don't need him anymore, who gave up everything to win a fight then lost anyways, and who blames HA for everything.
Because he's a ruthless murdering machine with few other skill sets, the only good path open was enlistment, where he worked his way up to Legionare.
Eventually got left behind, again, in Calliope after HA har to pull out. Officialy, he's dead
So you have a Bloodborne Hunter, juiced to gills by the Armory's Legionare program, and serious ax to grind with the people he holds responsible for the destruction of his people's way of life.

given where they died, have you considered, if the killed player is cool with it, turning it into a plot related mystery? ||Something along the lines of when the party gets back to Hell's Gate, they find the dead pc perfectly healthy there with no memory of being on the latest mission, even apologising for being so sick as to not be able to go fight but the other players can definitely remember everything that actually happened even if nobody else can. Or they find a cryppod from the Weasel in the Dragon's Tooth and inside is the fully healthy dead player, with a single golden feather on their chest. Thoughts?||

My group actually had a similar situation in the same mission - in our case, ||one of our PCs was just a little too close to Andros when the killing shot on him was taken and got caught in the blast. We then engaged on some deliberation on whether or not this would have killed her, as the session ending with her being dead - eventually, for reasons involving the resulting RP potentially being very uncomfortable for at least one of us, we decided to retcon it so that the PC whose life was in question survived the blast with heavy damage and some facial injuries, and was able to escape the Tachyon with the rest of the party.||
I'm not saying that's what SHOULD be done, I'm just relaying how my group handled it. You're the GM, you make the calls.

NGL with mission 4 ||I think it works very well to amp up the horror and mystique of the mine before your players actually do the mission. I never got to run mission 4 because rodericke steele personally shot my party's scheduling to pieces as an elaborate attack on me personally halfway through the previous mission but I was straight up drip feeding PHASE//SHIFT and Circuit info to my party since they were LL0. I actually had one of them visit an abandoned PHASE//SHIFT office when they were on the Icebreaker for mission 2||

||They were a spy. Caustic reached out directly as basically a recall, calling them back calling the PC a heretic and a saviour. As basically they broke TPs future prediction||

TP reached out to the PC DIRECTLY, basically yanking the PCs subjectivity right of his casket (PC is an NHP) and spoke directly to them. Then was shunted back and forced into a short term cycle in the casket due to failsafe casket shenanigans||

A little more context for this: I described the Icebreaker a lot sillier than it probably is. Streets interrupted by buildings, roads that lead nowhere, trains that work, but are super obtuse to use. So, navigating anywhere would be a super difficult task without the two locals in the party. It just so happens that those two locals are even sillier. So the running bit was taking these impossibly confusing routes that would somehow be faster or more beneficial than trying to take a straight route.
In this context, the party was headed to a waterpark called BEASH (better than the real thing) through a route that went through a condemned building. Inside the building, serenity was tired of these circuitous routes and decided to take off on her own. She made it 2 steps before falling through the floor...
As the team was pulling her out, another group of locals crossed by the condemned building, also heading to BEASH

Kraken and Gabriel Sparrow both have pretty indicative names, though you wouldn't be wrong to give Kraken one or more vent crabs. Pear Bradford has a Horse, but it doesn't look right.
