Marks on Pokémon
From time to time, you will catch a Pokémon that has a certain mark on it. This mark acts like a Ribbon in that it appears in the status screen when your Pokémon achieves a certain thing, most of which are determined on capture.
The Mark Rarity is as follows:

Rare Mark 1 in 1000 3 in 1000
Personality Mark 1 in 100 3 in 100
Weather Mark 1 in 50 3 in 50
Time Mark 1 in 50 3 in 50
Fishing Mark 1 in 25 3 in 25
The Mark Charm was introduced in Pokémon Sword & Shield's Isle of Armor. This basically gives 2 extra rolls for getting a mark, essentially tripling the rates.
Marks on Pokémon - Effects
There is one added effect. Much like Ribbons, you have the ability to properly attach the mark to the Pokémon. This means that, when you throw the Poké Ball with the Pokémon and call it into battle, it will have a special tagline that shows it has the mark
