If you want to join an in person raid, you'll need to be physically near a gym while a raid is happening. Then, if you have a raid pass, you can use the pass to join the raid. You can get a free raid pass every day by spinning the gym (much like how you'd spin a pokestop, just one more button press when you tap the gym) and on certain events, you can get more than one free raid pass in a day

If you have a remote raid pass, you can join any raid that you see happening on your raid radar, OR any raid happening anywhere in the world if you get invited to it. Remote raid passes can be bought for 100 pokecoins in the shop, and sometimes through other events.

Hosting a Large Lobby```
This is a brief explanation on adding more people to a raid. This guide assumes you have a firm grasp of hosting with PokeNav raid commands.

   • Start a party with the `mm` command: `$r [pokemon name] mm:10`
     *The `mm` command modifies a default 5-person party to the selected size, e.g., `mm:10` will create a 10 person raid, the host + 9 others.*

The following steps must be done quickly, within **120 seconds**, before the raid starts:
   • When your party is ready, use `$go` to let them know to be in-game. 
   • Enter the raid lobby and invite the first 5.
   • Exit the raid lobby to the world map 30 seconds after you sent the first 5 invites. **Make sure there is at least 1 person in the raid lobby when you exit!**
   • Rejoin the raid lobby and invite the remaining people.
   • Enjoy your raid!

So I even trying to post 10+ raids in the raid chat, however but when I put the mm: 11 it still let Allie's 5 people in. Im not sure what I'm doing wrong if if there's a thing I need to do to do that now. I used to be able to do it but now it won't and I hate doing raids with less then 7 people. Hello @limpid oyster I noticed you had hosted a raid that contained 16 other members, the max amount of members you can invite is 11 if you are in person and 10 if you are hosting remotely. For example of hosting a larger lobby the format would be ‘$r Kyogre mm:11’ in which mm stands for Max Members. Have a look at #how-to-remote-raid if you have any questions please feel free to ask 🙂

We have a delay on raid creation of 15s. The bot waits for 15s, then makes
the next raid. If people are posting $r every 5s, it cannot keep up, during new boss rotation things do get a bit hectic so the bot is under a lot of pressure to push all these raids out. I do reccomend joining instead of hosting if possible 🙂
