Tweak the raid system so that the current chat you use is just where you can host, have another channel where people can click the "Apply" button, but disable typing in it. Should help with the crashing. Whenever a lobby is hosted, the "Apply" button shouldnt pop up in the same chat, it should get re-directed to the secondary lobby with typing disabled

I hope I'm not misunderstanding the purpose of the channel but here is my suggestion:
Is there a possibility to add a rule to the sign up system that increases your odds of getting selected the more you fail to get into a raid?
After talking to some other players, many have experienced an inability to join a raid for a really long period of time even when the probability of entering are not that low. Theorically someone could apply to hundreds of raids without ever getting selected atm.
Today at multiple times I applied to raid with the number of sign up ranging from 100 to 150 (10% to 7.5% of entering for 10 man raid and 5% to 2.5% for 5 man raid). For half an hours applying to every single one of them without getting a raid, easily above 100 sign up from me.
It's even worse when the raid ends up never starting which is half the time on big day....
Anyway hope that feedback will be helpful and thx for reading

Thanks for your feedback.
We are aware of the frustrations during days like yesterday. It is very rare we have raids that have a massive host demand, combined with a massive join demand. In normal circumstances it almost never happens. This case came about because it was a very high demand boss (Rayquaza), Niantic did us dirty by hosting these raids at specific times in the day which further increased the demand (this is as it was a makeup event from the local event).
It has been trialed to do what you suggest, a host queue and a join queue. It is a huge amount of work, and when the joiners did get added to a raid, were often unresponsive, so it didn’t really work too well, so the idea was not taken forward.
The hosting failures are also a frustration, but with so many people trying to host, and 25min raid timers, it would have meant by the time the raid was created, and people ready, it had expired. This even happened to me.
It is annoying, but with the limits Discord place on us with API performance, there is not much more we can do to support these massive events. We have done lots of work to improve performance and make the bot resilient. Unfortunately there is only so much we can do before you have to say, we can’t really cope with 1 or 2 annual events.
If you were being cynical, you would say Niantic have a ‘in person first’ mission statement, and they hoped we would all move back to in person raids (remote raid caps/high cost). However, i don’t think thats how people want to play post the pandemic.

You mentionned hosting failures, which happened quite often yesterday due to the time of the queue, do you think it would be possible to put a rule that requires host to put the time left of their raid and for the bot to block or not the queue attempt if timer is deemed too low to start?
(Assuming 200 people in the queue and the raids being posted every 10 seconds by the bot, any raid under 35~~ left would be refused).
It would reduce the number of raids in queue by stopping those that have no chance of starting.
Anyway I think I'm out of things to say, I'm still thankful of having the actual system as an option and I completely understand that sometimes there are limits and difficulties that can't be overcome and be dealt with

Brush I did the raid 3 times I didn't get it twice I do it a third time I give it a golden razz berry( the other two times I was giving normal razz berries lol) I give it one razz berry I throw it and get it on the first try
