So the reason why you want low attack and high defense and stamina is because each of the lines have a multiplier which is what makes the cp go higher (the lines in the star rating). The attack line has a multiplier that is 2x the defense and stamina line multiplier. Meaning the cp will get higher. The reason why you want low attack is because of the leuges that have co caps because you have low attack it lets your cp stay low while leveling it up more. Meaning that a o/15/15 that’s at 2500cp will have more hp and defense than a 15/15/15 2500cp. Each level give the pokemon more hp and more bulk. So being able to level up a pokemon a lot will add more hp and bulk. Hence why you want a low attack pokemon
