Pro:
Purifying the articuno makes it a hundo, which is a flex having a hundo legendary, and makes it better on pvp IF you have 272 XLs to level 50 max it.

Con: Not really any tbh. The only reason you wouldnt purify a pokemon is if its a good raid attacker. Shadow mons deal 20% more damage (and also take 20% more damage) than their non shadow counterparts, and the extra +2ivs after purifying a pokemon doesnt give enough stats to make it equal in damage.

I wouldnt bother with the "teach new attack" button unless you can and will max level the articuno after purifying it

Shadow pidgeot is pretty solid for ultra league at level 50. If it was like a 13/13/14 or something I’d say purify but a shadow 98 is really good.

I would purify. Normal pidgeot is actually better in the ultra league than shadow, and anyways you would want pvp ivs which is low attack. The shadow is pretty much just a trophy.
