Shadow pokemon deal significantly more damage than non-shadow pokemon. I believe they have a 20% higher damage output or something like that. The downside to that is they also take 20% more damage. However the damage output(especially true in raids) is significant enough to make shadow mons way better than regular. There are certain scenarios where shadow mons are worse than regular mons. But I'd argue 85%-90% of the time keeping a shadow pokemon is better than purifying it

Your best bet is to just wait for mega Gyrados to come back out in raids and do them. It might be awhile but that just means you have more time to invest in this Gyrados. But I would 100% invest. Literally the only thing better than this is a shiny 100% Gyrados which is like, near impossible realistically to get so might as well just power up this one

I wouldn't say shundos are super realistic. The highest regular odds are legendary raids. Even that is a .02%(1/4000) of getting one there according to multiple different sources. I can't find a lot of agreeing sources for other forms of catching pokemon. But some suggest that the next best regular chance is regular raid bosses at .006%(1/150000, most sources actually predicted even lower odds) of getting a shundo there. Shundos are incredibly rare and people who have them are very lucky. I know personally a level 50, 46, 47 that have no shundos. I'd personally say to hope for a shundo gyrados is near impossible

I personally wouldn't evolve it. I think it's better to keep base because you can always evolve it but you can't devolve it. That and on the off chance that you needed a shiny panhcam to trade to someone. I'd argue that pancham has more trade value than it's evolution.

But end of the day it's completely up to you and how you would prefer to have this shiny. I don't think pangoro has a lot of meta relevance so theres no pressure to evolve there either. It is not at all bad to evolve it either just btw. Fully preference

I’m gonna assume some stuff so hang in there with me, if you only have 400k stardust + you’re posting that genuinely asking, I’m guessing that’s your best one so far which for average yea probably a great mon. Now you’re coming in here where all the sweatiest sweat tards hang out, for these people standards are hundo or shiny or it’s garbage and nothing else. At the end of the day it’s just a game and if you want to use all your candies that’s your right, I’m really bad at this but that’s not even 80%, odds are you will get a better one then you’re going to be sad cuz you already spent all your candies. Now for reference I did almost 100 cliff battles to get a shiny or a hundo and got neither I deleted them all except a 98% (which I did use all my candies on) and after that I don’t even think 5 had as good ivs as yours. So what I’m really saying is if you plan on grinding for a better one then no don’t use your candies and from what ppl have told me the ivs arnt even that big of a deal yours will probably die in one less hit then a hundo so is it even that big of a deal? That’s a question for yourself. But if you’re coming in here to post a non hundo or a non shiny 9.9/10 you’re gonna be told it’s garbage because that’s how people that are in here play
