#Remove force from the Surface Hovering

It will be enough if just gravity won't affect the ship if it's near the surface. There is nothing special to do auto landing or carefully land your ship on a surface by hands.

Although, man, how I am tired with the Hover pull your ship down or up when it's not needed. Especially with the sophisticated surface mining designs.
And for some reason, sometimes there is not enough force from FcuUpDown to get out from the magnetic Hover grip.

no - untill hower devices or wheels are invented... for now it will kill all surface miners

maybe if they added hover configuration in like.. mfc or fcu or transponder or something that would be okay

Hover def needs a rework at some point
It's really dumb how it's so hard to come out of hover with a big laden ship
At times you can be strafing up for 20 secs on a fat beast before the space goo lets go

If you are talking about additional DOWN force near the surface (NOT THE GRAVITY) - never knew that it exists - IF it exists - i am assuming - you right- useless force - Couse the gravity already present - i was always thinking it is basic gravity ( not on the smooth landscape ) which push some parts of yours ship DOWN, in cases where some parts of yours ship is higher than max UP force distance.

He’s talking about the instances where you’ll try to take off and get stuck at a few meters off the surface seemingly unable to go higher. You can move botmallbelow that point. It’s really weird and only happened to me a few times that I can remember

no, it's the shitty hover mechanic
sometimes it grabs you, I moon mine daily and have it happen regularly
it's worse a cut below ground

I've never gotten stuck for more than a few seconds, even with 1000 crate fully loaded surface miners

optional ship setting same as safemode/safezone would be nice for those who want to do this for engineering/other applications knowing what disabling it would do.

Just make "Auto-Hover" a checkbox thing you can switch on or off for individual ships, like "Allowed to leave SZ" or "Allow towing in SZ" or "Safemode enabled"

Remove auto hover and let players have control on theyr hover by rangefinders and yolol and thrust, would also add prop cost to surface mining as you had to actually use up thrust in gravity

Do people know what gravity does, yes, but what ground does to ship, no. And if there is no way of keeping ground damage from occurring, a ship will just slowly disintegrate
It also doesn't help that the game starts faar away from any gravity
