The only way currently to craft components is an easy build building but with easy build being deprecated would there be some crafting benches installed at the ship design building to compensate for the lack of ability to craft components for your ship.

And another idea that mitigate it possibly is by adding the crafting table to the starter ship as something included with the starter ship.
This is mainly the concern for after the update that removes easy build mode.
