We have the current dev transmitters on the nav stations and we have ship receivers. The technology is already in the game partially, it just needs to be put onto modules.

Having the ability to put transmitters on our station and ships would allow for a wide array of possibilities, even more than we had with the laser designators. Anything from company gps anywhere to fixed fleet formations would be achieved with this addition.

What about an in-game event: players should donate to the devs the materials, and they will build more retranslators around. So, the coverage of ISAN will be more and more.

It should be locked behind some type of military nation station if we can customize station types

But I don't like ISAN, it will allow for automatic ship routes.

So, you can put 10 alt accounts and they will do stuff automatically.

Alternatively, turn it around and make the ones we have infinite range. Code has to change, but at least there will be a way to calculate coordinates
EDIT: Turn it around as in signal 0 at transmitter instead of signal 0 at outside range

The issue with that is that at the edge of isan the accuracy is really bot that great, it would only get worse the further out you get, if they did that they'd also need to move them further apart

anyway, there's no real point to this once we get a map, they should probably just delete the existing transmitters and maybe add a client side way to put distance from map markers onto your ui

Or massively increase the range of the origin transmitters?
