Netcode is basically how your phone or mobile device's connection is handled, right now it's kind of standard connection - this is why most games aren't true multiplayer

Hey. @shy prawn fix the Vss on mobile please. It's firing mechanism is completely unsuitable for mobile and it needs auto fire like on pc.

Mobile players shouldn't essentially have what is a good gun removed from the game for them

Because it's great on the computer but trash on mobile.

Same applies to the semi auto but to a lesser extent

Both should auto fire if you hold down your firing joystick.

I feel this is quite literally a problem worthy of this chat because it's an unfair disadvantage to mobile players.

I don’t think we should make building a thing on every mode, but I would definitely like to see the gamemode back. There can just be another slot that you click to build and click on your melee or a gun to switch out on building

Problem is that computer players have a significant advantage with their system over that one.

The only way I could see it working if they they implemented a 0.5s cool down when switching off the build tool, to allow mobile players to get their bearings.

#

The fire button would need to be repurposed to building with the same tracking grenades have.

#

It's also very difficult to manage building different kinds of structures.

#

You'd need godlike hand movement to keep up with a mediocre PC user

#

I also think building isn't as suited for a 2D space as a 3d

#

It's less strategy, more calculation in 2D

#

Which is ultimately a very boring aspect.

Obviously we wouldn’t have to consider every player because this game should be based on skill, and if they aren’t good at building it’s just them that has to get used to it, and not that it’s unfair. But you’re right, building on 2d isn’t the best

@shut ocean If building was added (mobile), the pros/experienced would definitely learn to adapt to it faster just because they are experienced, but that doesn’t make them any better, they just have a head start because they’re already comfortable and good with zr mobile controls. Everyone’s gunna make it to the point where they’re GOOD at building, the pros just have a head start. Building should definitely not be permanent to the game, but it’ll be good to try it out again.

@trim tiger just because they CAN manage it doesn't make it fair. Let's say we added a mechanic with a weapon that's damage is based on dragging your finger across the screen in a specific way on mobile, and the mouse cursor on pc has to be clicked and held in the same fashion. Sure, both can do it, but considering how much harder it is on PC, that would be bad game design.

You'd need to reenter your cursor, then drag the mouse. Fingers are a lot more intuitive. Again, you're experienced on pc. For you likely no issue.

The only way I could see building working on mobile is if:

A separate build tool is implemented for both pc and mobile players
There is a 0.5s shooting delay after switching off of it to allow for finger movement.
Building can not choose location, but rather is a set distance from the player. This is because as soon as you require two hands to build, it doesn't work. When in build mode in mobile, the build button would replace the firing button to allow you to control direction, and on PC the direction would be picked by whatever direction your cursor was in.
If a mobile player moves into a space where they could place a barricade whole holding down the build key in a direction, it would need to automatically place one. Otherwise, they'd need to lift the finger and retarget every time, compared to just a click.

Given those four provisions, assuming there is only one standard, flat barricade, it would be workable

i think it may be with the type of weapon you use - i.e. pistol kils only register with the normal pistol i believe

I got a bug to report:
When I click on the map while in game it just automatically flag at a location nearby the big house in the middle of the map (Common Zombs not having permission to send picture is annoying)
No matter where I flag it just automatically point to that location

Just FYI, you can also sometimes shoot some GUNS through a wall

The bullets won't travel through, but they'll damage anyone touching the wall
