For the Boiling Mine: Taste of Steel event, a nice addition for it could be an event shop with its own unique currency that can also be used to brew powerful version of existing potions, that being a new Pickup Resource called "Silver". Silver can be dropped by enemies via "Liberation", specifically by defeating Whip Controllers, Dominotaurs, and Mine Walkers. It will function as a means to trade in a shop or can be used in the cauldron.

Silver only = "Strong Arm": +45 base damage
Silver + Bronze = "Hellstorm": 1k instant damage
Silver + Wood = "Manic": +30 Attack Speed
Silver + Tar = "Bloodthirsty": Heal = Damage dealt × 8
Silver + Stone = "High Roller": +100% Critical Chance, Critical Multiplier changes every frame from +1.1x - +3x, with the probability being higher around +2.1x

this not bad but its kinda too OP for a seasonal event

At least worth noting you can only make said brews during the event

One of the most unbalanced suggestions ever

#

why not Steel? it's in the event name
I think the idea could be interesting, but not in this OP form.
I think the best form of this would be to do something like in Fangs in the Dark, where there is a specific challenge in the location that is solved using this new Steel resource
to make things interesting, maybe you get Steel during this event by unmaking basic items with the fissure stone (instead of ki)
and then a steel + bronze potion could be brewed that does... something relating to the mechanical challenge

#

it may give some advantage elsewhere too but definitely not so unbalanced as to throw off the entire meta for a week

#

to be specific, I don't want the resource to only come from the mine because you already have an incentive to be there for quests and extra loot, you don't need any more

#

silly idea, what if all enemies in the mine explode and the potion makes you immune to burn or damage from explosions

#

or maybe just immune to burn, and there's an environmental challenge that periodically gives you a burn debuff
