On iOS (ver 4.24.1), the winter event can be started from December 18th.
On Steam (ver 4.26.0), the winter event cannot be started yet.

you can, just be careful if an update 'ends' the event and don't claim rewards until you're truly done

i was playing the event on ios, and migrated to pc, once i realiced the event was not there i switched back, and my event progres was resset but the rewards granted, I'm screwed?

If you purchased the monthly subscription for the event, you can request a refund on the Google playstore.

Yes. You migrated it to PC. What method did you use? Just roll back to that version and continue the event as if nothing happened
If you copied to clipboard, you are good to go. Just use what you copied
If you used the cloud upload method, tell me your code (in private message) and I can reset the clock on it

I have a probable fix for this bug. I need someone who encountered the bug to send me their save file in private message. You can do that from the main menu > saved games > export > upload
If nobody send it to me I may have to yolo this patch-- no time to try and reproduce the bug
