When killing a Booo, if you instantly kill it it doesn't count towards the quest.

Really annoying because it's hard for my weapons to not instantly kill Booos.

Killing ≠ unmaking

You have to unmake it, not kill it

There's a difference between the two

Unmaking is a special effect of weapons. Anything with a “U” in its affix will unmake when you attack; anything with a “u” in its affix only unmakes if you get hit
