Minecraft Server Lags

Hey i have a 22gb ram, premium cpu and 16 slots minecraft server.
Sometimes when we play with more then 7/8 players the server lags a bit. But i don‘t understand why because the cpu and ram is only arround 50% used and i pay 95€ for that server…

Hey, I totally understand you. Even if the server isn't overloaded, you may experience lag due to your internet connection or things that cause lag in the nature of Minecraft. A mod/plugin for optimization may help reduce your problem.

Well, yes. Vanilla server is not that good with performance. Paper does patch a lot of stuff.

For new versions of Minecraft, use Fabric

Forge is for old versions

No my game server is not lifetime, then how can i switch?

the lags are not really fixed… i think its better but when we fight mobs they are still lagging

Well, he will say that its true

As minecraft run in single thread, it need powerful cpu at single threading + high frequency which is not the case of Xeon

And its more true with the latest versions of Minecraft who need more ressources
