Hello,

I would like to inquire about the lifetime servers. Are there any hidden fees? Is it true that if I do not log in to my dashboard, you will cancel my server? In comparison to Hetzner, can I move my production to Zap Hosting’s lifetime server? Also, does “lifetime” mean 10 years? Finally, if there is a hardware issue with my server or it breaks down, will you replace it or will I need to pay for a replacement?

Thank you in advance.

Hello, I will answer your questions in the order of you asking them

#

Firstly, let’s ask what lifetime server are you looking at purchasing is it a game server VPS, root server or dedicated server?

#

@topaz coral

#

not decided yet but i focus only with root or dedicated depending on the their rules (Currently we host on Hetzner Dedicated + cloud)

Okay well if it’s a dedicated server all the parts will get replaced for three if anything breaks there is an automatic hardware detection panel in the ZAP-Hosting.com board that will tell you if there are any issues with any hardware. You also get an ILO which is a custom web panel that can control your dedicated server in full

#

If it’s a route server, there will be an automatic schedule of hardware replacement anyways, so there shouldn’t be any failures of that

#

Correct me if im wrong;
I think Hetzner Cloud is same as Root Zap hosting.
And Hetzner Robot is same as Zap Dedicated.

hushed pike
#

Hetzner host their own services that are known to have problems with companies

#

Which is why Discord has actually blocked Hetzner

#

So you can’t run any discord application

#

Zap hosting of their own dedicated servers and racks in the Skylink datacentre

#

Anyhow, I’m going to answer the rest of your questions now in your first post

#

So you get to keep the lifetime server forever, as long as you login to the ZAP-Hosting.com dashboard, at least once every four months

Even if you’re hosting something that doesn’t require maintenance, should still login to the dashboard once every four months

#

For everything lifetime

#

It shows that you’re still actively using it and that you’re still an active customer

#

Basically it’s pointless of ZAP-Hosting.com to host a server for you if you’re not alive I know it sounds wrong, but if you really think about it you’re going to at least once login to the panel every 4 months to check on it

#

And also the last month they will notify you by email to let you know when your time is running out

topaz coral
#

What if something happened and I didn’t log in to the server? Would I lose the server completely, or is there a way to recover it through support or something like that?

hushed pike
#

In three months, the server will be locked

#

For one month after the server won’t be usable and you’re most likely notice this as your application won’t be working

#

In that final month, they will try to notify you multiple times

#

If you still don’t respond, then you’re most likely dead and don’t need it anymore

#

Basically, that is the procedure

topaz coral
#

So, just to confirm the scenario of this term: If I don’t log in to the Zap hosting for 4 months, the server will go down in the first month. And within next 3 months, they will send me reminders, so the total is 7 months, right?

hushed pike
#

No

#

I think it’s probably best, you just read the terms

#

I will link it to you now

#

It’s number 10

#

Clause 3

topaz coral
#

Now it's clear, the total is 4 months, sadly it's a little bit risky term. Last question please; you said for dedicated I will get another panel for the server, will this panel counted as login? and in my main post i asked for (Hidden Fees) is there any hidden fees after paying the lifetime price ?

hushed pike
#

No hidden fees the price is final at the checkout

#

I’ve said to you already the answer for the panel question

hushed pike
#

The login is only counted on the panel I mentioned above

#

The separate panel for the dedi is just something for you to use

topaz coral
#

Isn’t this dashboard the correct one that should be used for counting? Why did I log in to Zap Hosting if I don’t even have billing to check? Can I escalate this request to the management team? If the term of checking whether a user is active or not, isn’t the ILO dashboard the one that should be used?

hushed pike
#

Because for security reasons, people can hack into the dedicated server panel

#

So for security reasons, it is locked after four hours and you have to unlock it manually in ZAP-Hosting.com dashboard

topaz coral
#

ok so the main site is for login to the second dashboard so it already will counted as login since.

hushed pike
#

You would be logging in to the main site of zap hosting

#

From there, you would select your dedicated server

#

On the dedicated server, you have an option of ILO

#

You’d have to turn on the ILO with a button

#

That then provides you a password on that panel and a username for login

#

You would then click the link to login into the details provided

#

And then you would be logged in to ILO,

#

Take a look at this

hushed pike
#

This is not related to the original question

#

If it’s not related to the original question use #general

#

You have no more questions it seems then in regards to lifetime server
