So i'm trying to build a Watchpost by using the Manor buildings and the Small Wooden/Bricked Fort Tower.

Once I try to change the watch tower top to a roofed one, the game crashes.

I was able to replicate this 6 total - just today-

Method 1:

  • build something with the Manor build -> Watchpost
  • attach a small military watch tower to the building
  • change the top of it to one of the roofed options
    Game will crash

Method 2:

  • build something with the Manor build -> Watchpost
  • build a small military watch tower not attached to the building
  • change the top of it to one of the roofed options
    Game will not crash
  • hit Build
    Game will crash

I was able to replicate method 1:3 times and method 2:3 times as well

Uploaded the last 3 crashes of today in hopes we can find out what's causing this.

Hello,

Could you attach a savegame please?
This will automatically tell us which mods you are using in your game.

Also, did you send the crash reports? If so, did you add an email address to the report?

The crash reports are the ones attached above and no, I didn't add an email address

The log file does not say much except the location of the zip file containing the crash dump:
Do you still have C:\Users\inesg\AppData\Local\Temp\\Polymorph Games Crash Reports\1.10.3.3 - steam\a5b00a58-31ee-49d2-89fa-d19bbccc4704.zip?

If you can reproduce the crash, in the Crash Report tool, there is a "Add more information" link that you can click and it will show you the fields where you can add a description and an email address.

I found two methods to crash it with the same exact thing I was trying to build

I see the crash but cannot reproduce. Could you attach a savegame with the mentioned scenario where I would simply need to press "Build" to crash please?

I've noticed that all my map folders are empty... I dont think that should be happening

From what I see, this is because of the incompatible Material Sets between monuments.
Since you have a Castle Piece inside the Manor, they do not have the same material sets.

Will look at avoiding crashes, but I cannot guarantee the color change will work on the Castle Part inside a Manor...

I was just wanting to build a watchpost using the fortification towers + manor watchpost fuction

Here are my simple repros:

  1. Start Game with "Castle Watchpost Expansion +" mod
  2. Start building a Manor House
  3. Change default material to Red
  4. Add a Watchpost sub-building
  5. Select "Rustic Wood Watchtower"
  6. Crash

The important step for the crash is step 3.

That's the thing I did not change the material

I used the default

I just simply changed the top shape

and that should exactly matter... if that was the case other textures would make the game crash when used together...

Is it just that one piece? so i can disable it in the mod?

I strongly believe is just that one piece

It does it with the wooden small tower and the stoned small one too

I've only seen those two make the crash happen with Manor builds ... nothing else

@junior hemlock : The issue is because Castle Parts and Manor parts do not have the same number of material sets.
So if you use a Material Set from Manor House that has an index over the ones in Castle Parts, it will crash.

We are looking for a fix to avoid the crash.
