#Village Watchtower effect pointing the wrong way

I believe the idea is that the watchtowers are placed on the perimeter of your town looking outwards for enemies, thus providing safety for the people behind them
Rather than looking for criminals etc inside the city
Exactly, if you look at the alignment of the ladder compared to the arrow you will see that the guard is actually looking opposite direction of the arc
Perhaps this makes it more clear
yes that's intended, the area shown is the area the watchtowers guards not the area the watchman looks towards
That does not make much sense to me so I figured it must be a bug, nevermind then ๐
how so? you look on one side and are actually guarding everything behind you, since they have to get past you to attack what you are guarding
you cannot guard something that the enemy could reach before reaching you ๐
I figured it was like a watchpost, so they would look "in front" of themselves. I guess I see it more as a "detection radius" than a "defended area"
In my head it makes perfect sense for it to be a detection radius type deal, but your explanation works too
yeah it's the exact opposite of like the guard's view in stealth game etc.
Makes sense
Post this as a separate report, this is a thread for an unrelated bug
ok, sorry....I didn't know
No worries, just didn't want your report to get missed
How can I delete this thread? Is it even possible? @supple juniper
