i bet the clients who are very word-y with the details are probably the most frightening since they tend to over-explain and it seems there is more than what they actually meant for the small details

if I were to be in an artist's shoes

I would know because sometimes I might over-explain something that is simple on a small detail request so it looks a little too much

I think you’re missing that the face isn’t flat
like the guidelines are usually a bit curved based on the angle of the face

unless they’re looking directly at you at eye level

Here you can see that shes very inspired by anime, this character alao has very big boobas bit its in proportion to the shoulder's neck and face

If they wanted to do a more skinny character then the neck needs adjustments to match the size of the face but if they want her to be buffed the size od the head needs to be a little bit larger and the shoulders. That's what im trying to get at if you know what i mean. Obviously idc what artstyle you want.
