What I usually do when there's descriptions this long is save the refs in a folder, label them and write the details in a notepad coz I dobt want to be stuck in a rut in case there's no internet and I can't access the details for the piece.

Set the lineart layer to reference layer

And use bucket tool

It painting a sketch either color blocking or you just outline the shape with lasso tool and your colors can't go anywhere where it's not selected
