Im not good at shading nor colloring, but i do reccomend giving your lines some thickness that way it can come of alot more livelier

2. decide where your light source it
3. Apply color shift depending on your ambient light (environment light)
4. Apply ambient occlusion

The only things i might suggest are maybe making the background somehow darker or adding a bit more to it? the top and bottom of it kinda feel too empty compared to the midle which has the swirly thingies. Also maybe u can emphasize more expression with the eyebrows? its rlly good as is though!

Foreshortening happens in between point A and point B

layers are helpful for drawing sketch, drawing lines over it, then hiding sketch! it can make your art look really clean

i also especially like clipping layers, you can edit the colour of a layer (such as shading or highlights) and freely erase the contents of what you've drawn without affecting the base layer

learning the use of layers is pretty broad 😭 theres a lot of things you can do with them, you may find it more helpful to just experiment first then ask more ^^

If you can do these then you're already pretty good at anatomy

If it’s watercolor- get it slightly wet, wait a couple seconds, and wipe it with a paper towel or one of those magic eraser sponges
