Back to the livery I'm having struggle with. Maybe I have to change its primary base color from black to red.

idk which msg to reply to but i think the whole hair vents thing, i have a it on a few of my wigs i think it mainly depends on the heat you use and the way the wig is cut, i tease my wigs before styling but what i do is heat it up with my straightener (i go over it a few times with heat) then i use one or two fingers to lift up the hair and stay like that until the hair is cooled, after that douse it hairspray to keep it in place

if you are going to use fibre glass and resin then you would need to use masks and eye gear, that's if you are going to do the cutting and stuff yourself

it's a fairly fat investment if you aren't going to be doing it a lot though

you'll need a place you don't care about destroying either and clothes you don't care about, especially for resin, it's so fine as particulate and sticks

pretty sure you need really serious masks for resin too

Compared to my other wigs, my March 7th wig was the easiest to style possibly because of the quality? I don't know what brand it is because I ordered off AliExpress the cos and wig together bc even after crimping it , it doesn't rlly give much volume sometimes so I'd have to tease.

I basically crimped the entire thing first , I usually have my crimper on high heat 200-220 c

After crimping it, I spray a bit of hairspray on it like a drizzle then I form the shape while using my blow dryer!! Then let it cool down while holding ( it takes so damn long) and then fix the ends with some hair spray if it's not sticking together.

I might have to recrimp some wefts of the wig again rn

From experience, I kinda find references relating to the sketch that im doing
The hands i’m kinda just drawing it from my head (though it is highly recommended to find pictures, or even take pictures of your own hands for this - its pretty good)
The hair split it into chunks like hyv models, can see them as like, paper chunks too for visuals
Anatomy too is referenced from multiple sources 🥹

i would say its bc the way face n shirt are gives off impression that theres strong green light but shade of blue on vest isnt hued green at all and the cross eye of the eyes

tbh looks really good to me!! id recc straighten this arm cuz idk if it can curve that way lol but yea!! n remember that unless palm facing away (then arm should be more "straight up" rather than back bc its kinda painful otherwise) remember thumb on side closest to body :3

to really now what to study you'll need to find something you want to improve at. In general you need to study from life if you want to improve. Learn to break down shapes and colours, learn values. Do your best to recreate images 1:1. Practice gesture studies, etc

stock up on references, if you want to learn to draw landscapes or cityscapes find images that suit that need if you want to draw people then find photos of people. For gesture studies I would recommend looking up highly skilled artists who can explain how to do them as its a little difficult to understand through writing. Learn shapes 2d and 3d. For colour theory I would recommend a book as well as for anatomy.

that would depend on how much studying you do and how well you understand what you're doing and looking at. Style and skill takes time to develop. You can and should draw for yourself while you do studies otherwise you'll burn out fast. Some people can take a few months to improve others can take years before they see any proper improvement

for 2: i tried adjust the eye distance. if you check the ref you showed, the distance between the eyes is roughly around 1 eye (this is the normal usually)
3: I adjusted the eye shape (make it smaller, less longer).
also I adjusted the face (longer face not as cute, if you want a cute face like the ref, it tends to be shorter)
then I changed the nose and lips to match the reference. for the lips, i make it less thicker for the upper lip (this is more on stylistic preference, the lips you drew isnt really wrong)
I also adjust the contour of the face
4: added some shading on the lips. I also adjusted the upper part of the head (hair part) to give more space
