Independent is a different multiplier and exclusive buffs cannot stack

For example the buff from SD units that SD shard deal more damage is exclusive so they cannot stack, that means if you have 2 SD valks in your team you'll still only deal 20% increased DMG with your shards instead of 40% irrc that was the value

If you ignore things like hle's special crystals and shit

Independent is just a straight up DMG boost as it is said there

Since they function in a vacuum

Same applies to weapon passives if you equip Vita's weapon and both Sena and vita at the same time the last passive which is something like
Enemies take 2%/4%/6% more damage from the enemy on field ( exclusive; independent)
This buff wouldn't stack since it's from the same source aka Vita's weapon

But since this buff is very common among other signature weapons it would stack with those since they are not the same source

Now this buff is also independent so they technically don't stack but yk both buffs apply
