But the system in Genshin also heavily relies on random

Because to be able to deal decent damage you need a a set of artefacts with good sub stats which are distributed randomly

So you not only need to draw a character and his/her weapon from gacha, but also spend a ton of time farming resources for levelling up and artefacts which can consume literally months

And you can't just have one good character, but a whole team of DDs, supports and so on
