@safe belfry I'm going to be honest, it used to be like that for me too when watching other artists, musicians or writers (I do those other 2 things as well), and sometimes even now I get small, tiny bits of jealousy when I talk to some of the people I look up to. Over time I realized that being envious, even though it seemed out of my control, really was all "me". When I first decided to deal with it it was regarding art, and what i did was watching those speeddraws from the same people I was envious of and just...watched, grabbed a pencil and redid the exact same drawing. I started noticing what they did good and their mistakes, and in my head those "unreachable idols" slowly became more human.
In a way, I needed to prove to myself that I could do it too. At the time I objectively wasn't as good as them and couldn't replicate exactly what they made, but it still worked. I later realized it wasn't about looking at me, or my skills, it was about looking at theirs. How, even though they might be more developed, they are the same in the end.
That, even though I might be infinitely "worse" than someone, at some stage they were "worse" like that. You start noticing the things that you do slightly better and the things you do slightly worse and correct them, and believe me that helps improve your skills so, so much.
I can tell you from experience that most people who are very, very good at something used to feel envy towards who did it better than them in the past. But they persevered because it's what they like doing, and over time the chore of "I need to be better than [person]" just became a "what should I draw today?"

Obviously the same methods don't work for everyone. My point is, whoever it is you look up to, they have looked up to people in the past just like you for the same reasons. They are not perfect, and, when it comes to drawing, I can guarantee they panic about anatomy too, haha.
