Hey, I’m in the UK and I study on iOS 18.5, iPhone13 Pro using Chrome on a stable WiFi connection.
Often the audio fails to play when I hit ‘Male’ or ‘Female’, there doesn’t seem to be a pattern, but in the past I’ve noticed them failing when I don’t have a stable connection.
However, today I’m at home on WiFi and none of them work. I tested the connection and I can also watch 4K YouTube. Is there maybe a server latency issue?

There might be, I've seen a few reports here and there of this happening but I'm still unsure what the cause is yet.
Does the audio fall to play during reviews? during lessons when you click the buttons? or both?

Not checked lessons, but just did 38 reviews with no audio playing on any button. I noticed if I left the review and did something for 3-4 minutes (like post here) one of the audio buttons would play

Yes! Very similar. Normally it’s not a problem as it comes and goes, but I’ve never had no audio at all before - thanks for looking into it

did you iPhone recently update by any chance? i wonder if there was an underlying change to the way the iPhone browsers are handling the websites code...

No iPhone updates recently, but I just did 100 reviews on same device and wifi and all audio worked 🤷♂️

For me I'm not getting this bug anymore on iPhone even with wifi on firefox. But on PC and firefox (with fiber optic connection) it still happens.
But the phone not getting it might be just luck. On PC it averages like one bug every 50 reviews. So on a good streak it might take a while.
