It might be extended - but the problem with lifting a limit on a discord channel comes with its issues. It gets to a point where you can't exactly hear other users talk just due to so many people being in a single channel.

Also imo it brings more trouble in terms of trolls etc wanting to annoy large chunks of people. There's more to list but there's reasons for a VC limit usually.

The special roles for the other channels were created so people that are active there are known for being helpful in those channels - aka the three current ones we do have.

The application also required you to be semi helpful/knowlegeble while being active.

We don't have a role for general since it's just a general chat room pretty much - there's no real reason to give a role other than for looks where as in the other channels it's to indicate they know a fair bit about the channel(s) topic.

I like the server a lot, and a cool idea would to have a denied ideas channel for ideas for the server, and server events, so different people don’t repeat the same suggestions already denied. Just a thought!

The ones we typically get asked a lot are the ones that are pinned in the channel. As for in #743332321159020715. Some ideas come out good but the problem with competitive event comes with prizing as we do not have any sort of monetary income with the server. We'd need a partnership around with that and I'm not sure if that's ever happening as this sounds like an admin discussion type of thing.

Rant room and memes channel have been asked a lot though, we should clarify one thing about it really.

One can safely say that the lore channel has substantially increased the traffic it has in terms of users and unique users. This is something that I’d said would happen as riot employs more events and products tied to the lore... that addresses the first excuse “reason” for not implementing a lore notification role. Additionally, to further build upon that point, more traffic will innately mean that the channel should have mods who occasionally check in to ensure the chats are civil and on topic.
To the point where you’ve expressed not knowing when updates happen and not wanting the responsibility of checking, numerous times I’ve said I have a bot that automatically notifies me of when an update comes out, all I’d need to do is msg a mod and they can copy paste the message and place it in the adequate channel. Alternatively there is a way to give permission to people to put messages in channels generally restricted from writing in to the general public. Making these roles is not labor intensive, and copy pasting certainly is a breeze.

The excuse about requiring riot permission no longer matters, and in any case I’d given you two who’d said it was alright: One who is in product management and assistance, the other being the lead narrative editor. As you guys are no longer operating under any official capacity tho, it substantially frees you from constraints and renders that excuse null and void.

There was then the comment about mods and their duties being intensive, you guys have hired new mods very recently, utilize them. The server is only going to grow, and this doesn’t require much intensive care, while at the same time is substantially benefits the community and specifically that channel. It also fosters more attention in an area that’s been dramatically growing

I brought up the fact that you guys are dedicating little attention to this and Zodiac said “we’ve given a reason before at the time, and the ruination event is easy enough to follow if u look at it. Plus we have given notifications of the cinematics”. To which I ask, what’s the point of posting patch updates then? And why is it you will do a notification for the cinematics, but not the actual stories and updates to universe that provide context for all the events happening, not just the ruination.

So, may we please have a notification system for lore updates, either by making a role that members can opt to choose to get notifications, or just dropping it in the notifs as u do with the others.

Biggest issue with a music channel is moderation needed for it, there will be trolls putting in random things, then we get into the messages of lyrics and songs breaking ToS, and lastly we get into how much profanity is to much into song that can be offensive to people and get the server shut down. I was thinking there could be a general 2 channel. A lot of the time general is very active and theres more than one conversation going on, making it hard to try and fit in a conversation of your own. I think that it's reasonable that there is a second channel for general discussion so 2 or 3 discussions aren't crammed into one channel. The role's main purpose to begin with is to be used in events themselves. It wasn't supposed to be given to members and we thought level 50 was way too high before we went with the changes. The main reason why it's not given is because we see it as a perk for our members to use. As per some misbehavior with the stream permissions previously, it was locked under activity. We're still looking to see if we can reduce it. For anything that typically goes with legacy roles applications, it typically takes activity and clean recent logs to begin with. I understand your point, we'll keep looking into it in the moderators chat. Though, the odds for such thing are lower than chances of reducing stream perms in terms of exp.

It was a way to give regular members a way to go about hosting streams such as movie nights and others.

would it be possible to make a lfg chat for new players? I feel like it can be harder/more intimidating to find a group when you're still newer to the game because you don't know what kind of skill level you might be getting into. I'm not sure if the bot that deletes messages for posting links can be modified to whitelist links from specific websites, but if it can, can you whitelist imgur.com and i.imgur.com?
I use the screenshot software that automatically uploads screenshots to imgur and puts the imgur link in my clipboard, so having to open that image in browser and then copy image just to upload it in this discord server is a bit inefficient.

I would like to simply take a screenshot and be able to post the url that ends up in my clipboard, without having to go through extra steps.

idk if this was ever an idea but there should be roles for character roles (not lanes), so like tank, assassin, fighter, mage, etc

Sorry for the late reply. The regions we currently have roles for are those that English is the main (or at least commonly) spoken language, especially since that's the only language we allow in the server as well. I don't think that BR fits this criteria. Beyond that we only have a very small number of players outside of the already present regions, so any LFG channels that we would create in connection to the role would be left largely unused as well, as such we'd like to leave support for BR and other non-English speaking regions to other servers who have more members from those regions and who'll allow the languages spoken in those regions as well. If a large demand for more region roles arises their addition may be more likely.

You can use the assistance channels (say #⬫┆gameplay-questions or #⬫┆new-players) to ask others to review or look at your matches, however since we don't allow any coaching that'd include monetary transaction a channel specifically for it counteract that policy. Adding that there aren't many players who'd be ready to review matches with constructive criticism for free, so the channel would be very one-sided with requests.

Removing chat timers allows spam and raids to be done easier. As we do have an anti raid bot, this doesn't block everything. There are some channels where it's deemed unnecessary such as LFGs. #⬫┆general mainly to keep away any disturbing content from people just joining to troll 18+ or really messed up stuff per say.

We do give access to posting pictures by activity to our members which is level 20 on @hearty anvil

A lot of Discord perms are generally more than just 1 thing. I wish Discord would have some perms that would be specific one exact thing instead of a big package of things.

Basically I made a non-profit mod for Skyrim SE that turns my main from League into an NPC follower that includes her original voice assets (that someone from Riot gave me perms to use). I'd love to share it with other LoL fans and players here but I don't know if that counts as an indirect way of "self-promotion" of sorts (which is why I'm asking here). Bare minimum I'd love to share it with the mods and/or people in DMs since I worked so hard on it and I just want other people to enjoy it. However in doing so I don't want to break any rules and regulations as that's not fun for anyone. 1. make sure to have the person's full username (including the #) and if youre able to grab their ID (this can be grabbed by turning on developer mode in settings and right clicking the username of the person
2. any photos/screenshots/videos you have as proof. if its a video: the bot has issues receiving them so youll have to wait for a mod to respond so you can send it to them via their dms. but be sure to let them know you have a video that you need to send so theyre aware when they first respond. also the bot doesnt like multiple images sent in the same message so its best to send each separate (and incase just say "i sent x amount of images" so we can confirm we got them all)
