#Swap divine portal buttons

yeah its trolled me a lot of times. should at least be a setting for it
i think swapping them would mess me up even more lol
i can relate though i consistently press the loop button by accident without thinking
so many ui interactions have been streamlined in rorr im surprised this one was left untouched
maybe they couldn't figure out a better solution
an optional setting would be good, i'm an ror1 vet so i prefer the current way
i very much agree with this, i didnt know the divine teleporter would have 2 options and just spammed E because i had 20 hp and needed to get out of there
It just feels like such an oversight, you're used to the teleporters teleporting you to the next stage when you press E on them so why suddenly change that?
It's not like looping is supposed to be the thing you experience first
Being able to bind it specifically would be my preferred
Especially if using command on high loops if it were reversed it would be very awkward as a hoard of many TP would just drown the TP
this is a ror1 remake, it was already in the game, they didnt change bc it'd make ror1 players confused
it's not but accidentally going to the final stage and ending ur run when u wanted to loop bc it's on "E" is way worse than accidentally looping just 1 time
it's a minor thing to get used to, if this can be bindable then it's good but definitely not swapped with no options of reverting the default settings
pressing E to loop makes way more sense since most ppl will loop and it's a more common action, going to the final stage and ending ur run should be a single and decisive action so putting it on E is counterintuitive and would lead to bigger mess-ups
most ppl will loop ? where does that come from ? source : don't worry ? x)
I think the normal one being loop is perfect. You can always go to prov if you accidentally hit normal you cant do the opposite
Oh hi funguy wasn't expecting to meet you here
source: common sense, the majority of the playerbase plays to loop, it has been true in ror1, ror2 and rorr all the way, if you really think the majority plays risk of rain to end the run right off the bat everytime i got some bad news for you
I don't see how this is common sense
indeed i would much rather accidentally loop than accidentally end the run
to be fair in example ror2 has the final boss "position" on the teleporter by default, in here your default option is looping(i know it was like that in ror1 ohhhhh my goddddddddd NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PORTED 1:1!!!!!!!)
its just better for new player experience and overall would feel more natural
the way you make the choice before activating the teleporter in ror2 is somehow impossible to mess up in comparison
especially for new players that sometimes cant even figure out that you CAN loop so they go straight to the final boss as intended
unless they take a portal
i think youre supposed to see that the teleporter looks different and then read the interaction prompt instead of instantly pressing E
at the very least this game gives you the option to teleport to the final stage at any point in the loop anyway but
it would still be a lot more convenient to have the INTENDED option be on the default keybind
the phrase “it was in ror1” is getting on my nerves
The game is 10 fucking years old the qol wasn’t exactly through the roof then
me when im told its gonna be overhauled and then im getting just ror1 with some ror2 content on top
good game nonetheless but im getting annoyed every time i hear shit like "its the games charm" or "its supposed to be like that"
i think rorr feels like a true version of ror1 in a way that is invisibly effortful
yeah thats the point they were just faithful to ror1
i can get behind that but theres obivous issues that could have been addressed at least for the sake of player experience
its not about difficulty its about the gameplay
yeah im cool with trying to improve the game, the purpose of this forum is for the community to brainstorm ideas that the developers may not have thought of
im stumped on how to improve the divine teleporter though
i dont even know if deciding before activating the teleporter would decrease mistakes
and im pretty sure that swapping the buttons would cause more mistakes
Just accidentally looped and got one-shot by the stage 6 teleporter boss so I'd like to put in my vote for this change now
Okay thanks bye
i think we all have had that type of experience at some point lol
my first accidental loop was with huntress so i managed to survive pretty easily but still
