There's the three heating cells and the three cooling cells, if you destroy all three cooling cells its vulnerable to the fire damage, and you can stay inside the cooling cell yourself to stay safe.

As far as I know. Destroying all four spots does most of his health, but leaves a bit of hp left, you usually do this HP via chip damage across the fight or the moment the weak spots are down
