I hate to say it but being aware of your surroundings is important in the game- i make a mental note of exactly where i am right before i go in scope so that doesn't happen, because yeah it can be a little annoying to know exactly where you are with zoom, if you're near a ledge

in other games, gameplay is "properly balanced" with the options the player has to move because there is no deviation, it's fixed. so they can design how the game is meant to be played easier
it just so happens that in ror2, enemies can't be designed with having too little movement and too much movement at the same time
