desperado also builds momentum in a more stable manner but doesnt allow you to actually just curb stomp the game by having basically permenant invis and the ability to fly stage 1 with instant m1 reloads

desperado will perform well if you arent rushing and taking your time to methodically kill as many things as you can with it
and lights out will perform best when you are actively showing off

lights out feels more like it fits with bandit's theme to me, desperado is just "ha i shot you you're dead" whereas lights out makes me feel more like i'm weaving in and out of stealth, assassinating my foes one after another

desperado also leans more into single target despite neither having any direct aoe gimmicks because cooldown reset means you get more chances to shoot different enemies

plus you also get that 600% slayer damage on repeat

lights out lets you dance around combat and not care much about how many things there are
desperado gives you a way to build damage to kill bosses regardless of items

theyre awfully good sidegrades

desperado will definitely be the easier one to use tho

i would recommend that to newer players
