It’s a separate enemy from Magma Worm, technically not an elite
They can spawn on almost all the same stages as the Magma worm but they’re a later encounter, you can still get them pre-loop if you get enough mountain shrines but that’s unlikely

and when Mithrix lands, he loses his armor boost and now has Pulverized from

and that’s when the crit ATG hits

the excess damage from this interaction is being subtracted by whatever adaptive armor Mithrix still has after the first barrage of diablos

actually magma worms too are pretty hard to predict

theyre fast they move erratically and you cant see them half the time

aside from them being able to shoot out the ball at an insane speed when you’re really far off i think they’re pretty fine

I think the fact that they can snipe you halfway across the map with a 1 second travel time for their projectile while aggroing something completely different makes them the definition of unpredictable

They can hit you through walls thats the only bullshit part

but thats still predictable

oh and maybe certain teleporting enemies like parents

but where they teleport is still pretty easy to predict
