imo the only survivor who really cares about max hp is false son, on everyone else it's nice to have but by no means a necessity. viend's corruption lost when healing is based on the percentage of his max health healed, so i guess technically more max hp is better because it doesn't affect percent-based healing and makes flat healing less impactful towards corruption, but i wouldn't really worry about it

GUIDE TO CRABS
Step 0 (optional): bring artifact of swarms
Step 1: don't pick up any offensive drones or passive damage items, like Tesla coil
Step 1.5 (optional): get primordial cube, it makes things a lot easier
Step 2: loop to Titanic plains. To make this easier, get the stage 5 newt altar and go to bazaar and then you can usually pick your location from the dream altars. If it isn't an option, head forwards anyway, you've still got a chance. Maybe turn off dlcs if they add more stage 1s
Step 3: hang around the middle of the map so the crabs spawn near the edge. If you get the plains variant with the chasm in the center, it makes things way easier
Step 4: when a crab has spawned, walk at it and stand as close as you can. It will probably get up and start running away, then you can chase it off the edge. If it doesn't move, give it a little smack with something that won't kill it

Get as many items from each stage as you can, but work swiftly and don't waste time
It's ok to leave some if they're in a far corner of the map or something and would take too long to reach
At every stage 4, there is a legendary chest that costs a ton of money but has a red item in it, those can really pull the run together
The exception to this is Sirens Call, instead of having a chest to buy you have to break a bunch of eggs around the map and fight a secret enemy for the red item
When you get to stage 5, the teleporter there will look different and have blue particles instead of red, before activating it be sure that it's aligned with the moon (you can change the alignment by interacting with the structure on the outer rim of the teleporter), the chat will tell you what the teleporter is aligned with
When you get to the final boss, try not to get hit and deal substantial amounts of damage
