hey, I just bought the first expansion for the game and I'm excited to play the new content. although I noticed that when I select the expansion from the expansion section on the right, it alternates between a locked icon, the expansion icon, and the same icon but with a green diamond below it. Does anyone know what the difference is between the 3 icons? I assume the locked icon means it's disabled but idk about the other two. thanks for any info on this!

those icons are 'vote' icons that people can use in multiplayer, to decide whether the content is enabled or not. the plain box is a yes vote, and so is the diamond, and the X is a vote against

So in singleplayer the diamond on dlcs means nothing, just like the x on artifacts

It'd just be reconfirming that you want to go with the default option which is on for dlcs and off for artifacts

To get artifacts, you need to go to stage 5 and enter a 3x3 code to summon a portal where you can do a trail involving the respective artifact. The codes can be found on tablets on different stages, usually in discrete crevices and hard to reach areas

Before the update I had to do that on my Xbox one to fix memory leakage issues but idk if it'll help with the other bugs you got going on post update. But my series x is mostly running the game fine so I would at least try reinstalling and see if that helps

I mean it isn’t the worst application of ai. It’s a pretty meaningless role to be the one talking for something like that, and ai voices have become good enough that it’s extremely hard to notice a difference, I feel there is a certain doomism about ai taking jobs (which is warranted to an extent) that prevails over ai doing the most simple jobs that human could’ve done but making it easier.

Kinda the same as hating on one of ordering tablets at fast food restaurants for taking the job of a cashier. However there is the argument of “where does it end”, what jobs are off limit to ai, to what extent, what are the ethical, moral and philosophical implications of ai becoming more common place in the industry? But for now I think I’m okay with ai reading something out in a presentation. I didn’t spell check any of this so bleh.

You'll find a portal that takes you to a special level, complete that level and you should unlock the lizard guy (please note that the special level might be difficult for new players so you better go well prepared)

I think the main reason for Han-D is that the DLC is drone based, and drones are a big part of Han-D's kit

I want it to be Enforcer more than any other survivor. They'd have to rework the shield block tho imo. Maybe have it work like Reinhardt's shield from Overwatch where it has health of its own and the health regenerates after a few seconds, and backup mags could increase the amount of health the shield has.

The general consensus seems to be that the returning character isn't Han-D because it looks too similar to Mul-T, and aside from the drones, the moveset is similar to melee characters we already have. If they were to ever add him to the game, it's clear that he would receive an overhaul to both his moveset and his design.

My theory is that this upcoming "drone-centric" survivor is an upgraded Han-D model.

Miner is def still possible though
