The only known workaround I believe is if you load in and very quickly go to logbook, open it and back out, then load into multiplayer and host private game, but you can only play on rainstorm and the last survivor you played as

well, to be more precise, I can now "click"/"enter" the menu tabs and it shows my "account" (name) (in the top right corner) but everything is wiped, and I lost all my characters/artifacts, unlocks, etc and stuff so far. So perhaps theoretically I could start a run with my shell of an account, but I'm not touching that until they have time to work on patches. I did try the "alternate controller"/"guest profile" method to see if I could get around, and that's when it showed my profile name (whereas before it showed no profile and I couldn't click any of the menu) but all my progress was gone. I'm not convinced that's not just a different presentation of the same glitch/bug, so I'm holding out hope. I do regret it, but I also suspect things would have been f*cked up either way. Just giving my exact story so more people have it/know it and maybe it'll help someone figure out the bug(s).
