Well theres a short interval between the internet connection dying and the game kicking you out

It usually tries to regain connection for a short amount of time before kicking you out so you dont randomly disconnect in a run because you lost connection for half a second

So the dlc license loss would kick you out faster

To my knowledge, the devs/publisher have not acknowledged any problems with the current console ports of the ROR2 base game or SOTV.

It is also my impression that the console downgrade was implemented in order to get the SOTV patch working on the PS4/Xone/Switch.

So, my guess is that the next DLC will be released, and the console ports will stay as they are, or be downgraded further. I see no reason to believe that the current issues with the console port of the base game will be improved. If anyone has heard comment from the devs/publisher to the contrary, I'd be interested to hear about it (i.e., something along the lines of "we are aware that there are significant flaws with the ROR2 base game, and we intend to fix them").

The do know about the bugs and they are currently working on a patch and the reason why the port became such a dissapointment is because they were clearly rushed and it was not ready for release

And yet, they released the console patch before it was ready. Instead of releasing it when it was ready, they released it when it was profitable. Gearbox's actions do not align with their words. Having said that, I will be glad to be proven wrong about this, if they do eventually improve the base game console port.

As a 250+ hour player on switch, I find it’s best to avoid things that produce a lot of projectiles or spawns.
Or
Use items that can kill things without you having to look at them. That seems to work too sometimes.
Unfortunately, though, there aren’t any graphical options or settings you can mess with to fix it on switch.
that’s why I bit the bullet and restarted on Xbox

Thats the one advantage from m&k and I believe it to be rather small outside of extreme communities like competitive or speedruns because those try to push the limits

And even normally small differences have big effects there because they simply cant afford them

They do that because they know their communities are so innately competitive

Elder lumerians have probably killed me more than any other enemy so far

They are a nightmare (I play almost exclusively as commando). For elder lemurians, especially elite ones, I find chronobauble quite helpful -- it lets me get more hits on them, stacking up more bleed, as they're running towards me. It's a really underrated item imo (not that it's a great item, but it saves my ass quite often; it's better than some other greens, such as death mark)

(Alternatively, you could refute my suspicion without looking at the code: you could just do a data analysis on the items found on a large number of runs)
