Yep, 2000% base damage every 20 seconds vs 4000%+1000% AoE every 120 seconds, on top of that, this is console and capacitor hits 2 times instead of 1 so capacitor is 4000% base damage every 20 seconds.

Now for the actual serious answer, monsoon is harder because if you check the ambient level you will see that on monsoon the enemies starts to overlevel you on stage 4 and above while in rainstorm, especially on drizzle, they overlevel you more later, this means that you have to know better the enemies attack pattern, target priority,how to dodge, best looting route,etc because you will not have that much items and items are extremely powerful. Now, we are talking of vanilla risk of rain 2 without artifacts, some artifacts change a lot of this of how to play the game.

Yes, they reworked the burn debuff on Sotv to make it scale with damage scaling and proc coefficiency, (the bigger the hit the more longer the burn debuff)
This makes it that some attacks last longer but they don't do as much damage per tick (survivors) but on enemies they last a long time and do a lot of damage per tick.
Consoles/anniversary update right now have a weird formula for the burn debuff that I don't remember correctly but the damage per tick of the burn debuff at maximum deals 1% of the target health per second or 100% of base damage per second, whichever is the least.

Maybe someone with more knowledge can answer better but this is what I remember.

I had the same thing happen to me a few days ago. Same stage too. I was playing true melee acrid (bite and essence of heresy) so I couldn't get close to them without dying almost instantly. My teammate died within the first thirty seconds so the run died pretty quick. I've heard people say the scaling is more extreme on console than on pc, but I'm not sure if this is true.

It's not more extreme per se, it's the fact that the coding for the leveling gets a little confused and sends much larger hoards/tougher enemies than it should on the rare occasion

Yeah, eclipse really makes you learn to dodge all of the time without a break, especially eclipse 7 and above.

Also while you here Rex is of course the hardest to do eclipse but what do you think is the second and third hardest to do eclipse with?

Second engineer, third captain.
Both of them are good but they are heavenly relying on something for eclipse 3 (fall damage double and lethal) and above, and you know the Knockback bug makes it worse.

It was hard, I was thinking between captain and commando but commando has better tools/abilities to fight against the eclipse modifiers, captain at eclipse 3/4 and above is just spamming shotgun, orbital strikes become really inconsistent and the secondary is.. you know.... The weakest one.

That is the thing, you were focusing so hard on the bettle guard that you weren't aware of your surroundings, eclipse really is unfair and you need to be in "gamer stance" if you want to beat your first eclipse climb.

Just don't get discouraged, eclipse is designed to be unfair, it's normal for you to die a lot, but as they say: practice makes the master.

Yeah I know but I learned that you can play around the bugs but it's not a fun progress, it is frustrating during the process and at the end you feel like you can enjoy eclipse now but you are 24/7 constantly thinking about the bugs and it gets semi frustrating.

The fire trail bug only applies to the blazing elites enemies, the fire trail is the one that the blazing enemy leaves behind when they move not the burn debuff damage overtime when they hit you.

Yeah, it's just the fire trail, you can avoid it but if you think a couple of things it feels awful, if you check PC gameplay the fire trail damage is much lower if you compare them with the same type of enemy and it gets worse the bigger the enemy and sometimes it's just a jumpscare, they spawn on top of you and you just die in 1 frame.

In multi-player Rex and Engineer work well

Rex for getting someone to distract when you heal, and Engineer for helping protect team mates

Also Captain works pretty well too

It’s normally triggered by a damage source with over or equal to 400% base damage

Before items are applied

You would think proccing bands on attacks that have less potential than ones that normally can is bad but this really means bands will pretty much always have an “uptime” of use

Which means more damage over time

Items should NOT affect the bands activation only the original base damage of the hit but, you know this is console anniversary bugdate and we have that "feature" of proccing bands out of anything, the idea of bands is proccing them on hard hits abilities/item and equipment.(burst damage).
You can check the original base damage % of abilities and items in their description.

I got the same information from woolie that's why I've always used crowbars, it's an item that modifies base damage based on enemy health no?

I understand how bands proc, but for each stack of crowbars you would add 20% to the base damage unless that's a bug then I'm sorry but so far it's worked for every character

Actually it could be calculated different also between different but like say for commando's first ability you would need like...20-30 stacks of crowbars

Is more because of how weird the directors work on console, if you let the enemies to accumulate they start dying out of nowhere at those credits of the enemies that die out of nowhere get refunded to the director and all of the sudden the director spawn elites and/or bosses non stop.
So, we have to kill the enemies as quickly as possible to not let that happen.

Recently a mod has been added to the PC version that adds competitive eclipse 8 runs to the game, (the race events).
What the mod does is that every time you die you instead of ending the run,you get an item that adds +5 minutes to the timer and they saw it as an opportunity to do competitive Speedruns with different survivors and learning new techs.

Dev side has been cranking through nearly exclusively multiplayer bugs. We haven't found a new single player bug in quite some time now 👀 . There's a lot of platform-specific multiplayer stuff that all has to be really really tight and each of the platforms have specific needs. We're getting there 👍
