The Ai always had a "passive" behavior if you're too far from the enemy or not attacking them, the thing is, it feels so annoying that you want to kill all the enemies to make the director spawn more enemies (get more money) but thanks to that passive behavior you have to actively try to find the enemies to get them out of that passive state and if i remember correctly, this behavior has been a thing since the 1.0 update or artifacts 2.0 update but because recently they started the race format all those little things that always have been around now they are more notable aka annoying.

Hopoo was in charge of the PC version, they released one Last patch and after that they sold the IP to gearbox after that gearbox has not done anything to the PC version, no patches and/or updates.

On the 29th of June, 2021, console fans had been waiting the past week in anticipation for bandit, commencement rework, and new items.
Everyone soon got the message to update their game. Exciting.
They hop on, select bandit and jump into a new run.
Stage 1 is going fine until… the fire trail on the stone golem just one shot me. Ok that’s fine new run.
Made it to stage 2, brass contraptions are spawning… they are very hard to hit, did they change the hit box to the bell in the patch notes?
There is a horde of them I can’t kill but I still manage to complete the teleporter and leave. Stage 3, rally point delta.
7 overloading elder lemurians just spawned and they looked like they attached two orbs instead of one, somethings wrong…
A few runs later I make it to commencement, oh dear. Everything has spawned, every pillar every lunar pod every cauldron.
Why did 9 overloading lunar wisps just spawn behind me?

I run, getting away from them and doing 4 blood pillars.

Still Unity - I think the team is on a significantly newer point version of it. The console builds and PC builds are being pushed from the same branch now though. That's a radical change from our system before. Once upon a time all the consoles were on their own branches. So if you wanted to change one thing it took waaaaay more effort than you'd expect. Gonna be a lot easier to update stuff now... like... so much easier 👀
Also caused certain consoles to have different behavior than PC or even other consoles. Sometimes those differences were minor, sometimes they were more significant.

The way it's being built is in anticipation of DLC1 & the overhaul being released at the same time. It'd be hard, but not physically impossible, to do it any other way. We're brining it up to exact parity to PC so you gotta sorta do that all at once. We can't walk it there.

No, it will have the same type of entitlement system that PC has. If you choose not to get the DLC, you'll still be playing the build with everyone else, you just wont be able to toggle the little SOTV symbol in the lobby.
