On proton/wine I can spoof the game to only detect 4 threads with WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY , but on Windows I think specialK or Kaldaien's Mod should work for that as well

i tried doing manual modding, the loading screen is endless whenever i add the mod .dll
Infinite loads tend to be what happens when an outdated mod is installed or mods missing their dependencies

i replaced the plugins folder in bepinex with the r2api one

so basically bepinex came with a plugins folder
and r2api had a plugins folder aswell, so i replaced the bepinex one with the r2api one
then placed the dll file for the mod inside the plugins folder

Alright so if that's your modlist then chances are it might just be a bad download happened. Easiest thing to try is just reimport the profile code as a new profile and see if it just works™️

when you develop something in .Net then it gets compiled to CIL
when you're writing an IL hook you're literally changing that IL as it was compiled. If you do an IL hook with no CallDelegate then it has the same performance as if it was just coded that way

Is there any mod for infusion? I've searched in thunderstore cause i used ScalableInfusion, which made it like in risk of rain 1, where you get 1 per kill per infusion, to infinite. But it no longer works on current build and i even have the dlc. Is there any other mod that does that ?
Or can i make that mod in some way myself? Cause i prefer the og infusion from ROR1

Thre's not really that many big mods updated yet. CLosest is MysticItems and tinkerssatchel for items. There's also the goto staple characters: Paladin, Enforcer, Miner and Sniperclassic

R2api needed an update(And think it still needs a certain thing fixed)
Then Moonstorm Utilties needs repaired (This I think is now mostly done)
Then porting the project from unity 2018 to 2019 to match ror2 having updated versions
Then fixing all the errors that brings and testing that shit actually works
Most of this is one person

There's your issue.
Use a mod manager, don't manual install.
Saves you the trouble of hunting for dependencies and keeping up with updates, and saves us the trouble of having to deal with troubleshooting manual installs.
Also just makes the process safer and more reliable, less buggy and inconsistent.
Using a mod manager is basically only a positive experience

How do i increase play scaling with multitudes?
So, I was using r2modman, and it said all my mods were loaded into the game, but some of them aren't loading at all. For example, Paladin and Nemesis Skins don't show up for me in game. Is there a particular reason?

disable mods 4 at a time to do it 4 times as fast but less accurate
then once its fixed, look into the 4 mods you last disabled individually
console also could PROBABLY give helpful info if its spamming errors and such but i dont find it as reliable as when i mod other games

From the limited use that I have, propersave saves only after the start of a stage, and that you load it in when you ready up
New maps have been possible for awhile now. They're just very hard to make and right now rely on a tool being updated to work with the dlc to continue making

It also lets you rejoin in the case of crashes so long as the host didn't crash and it remembers the state you were in

Stutterstunter is meant to help against a specific kind of hitching caused by a periodic process called garbage collection that can be exacerbated by having many mods installed. It does so by prolonging the process to the end of stages iirc.
Problem is if you don't have a lot of RAM and garbage collection doesn't occur before RAM usage gets too high, it can make performance worse and even lead to crashes.

So if you're playing modded (Which I assume since you're in this channel) Close the Bepinex ui that comes up when you run modded. It uses a fair bit of cpu
It made the difference for me after I bothered checking why my game wasn't running as well

if you want new fresh things I would probably just recommend getting some survivor mods
paladin and enforcer are some ones that come to mind without looking any up

I don't know about Marwan's Light or Weapon, but Marwan's ash broke so I'd assume the upgrades would too

what is you guys opinion on unlocking skills with cheats? like, if I install a mod that adds skills, I wanna play with them and not farm 3 hours for 1 skill but at the same time, I feel bad for cheating them in
It's your game. Do what you want
Play the game however you want to play it, even the creators support modding and the freedom to do whatever you want with the game so long as it doesn't affect or hurt other players.
Sometimes the unlocks are fun. Sometimes they're fucking stupid and if you don't want to deal with it just cheat it in
Mod creators also add unlockables to their mod because they want to give people that option
Some people want mods to add more playtime and achievements to the game
It's easy to bypass them for those people that just want to unlock everything a mod has to offer, but it gives the option for the people who don't
I personally do prefer when mods have unlocks cause it helps them feel more like apart of the game
Also a lot of the unlocks are well thought out or interesting, and the way many modders conceptualize them is cool
Like secrets and hidden objects or just interesting goals
Like tear gassing 20 enemies at once
Then you have ones like sniper which is just Stick a radar scanner into an equip drone lol
I will be honest, it's a funny thing and I can say I've had a lot of runs without ever seeing an equipment drone
And I don't think I've gotten a radar scanner more than once since march first
They do tend to show up more on Aphelian Sanctuary, Scorched Acres and Sundered Grove in my experience

And to that: Starstorm 2. It's one of the few mods that adds gameplay that affects any and all runs with Storms

Yeah so apparently using Beating Embryo and Captain's Brooch from the RoR1 Items mod with Gesture of the Drowned absolutely breaks the game by giving you 10+ chests every single drop

Me and a friend of mine have been troubleshooting some kind of an error for a full week now with little luck of figuring out what is causing it. The Error logs on the console show up but no singular mod comes up with red errors.
tried disabling mod after mod and running with it but the error always seems to come back one way or another. Odd thing is its most common in Sky Meadow and if it doesn't show up there, it creeps up somewhere in the Loop.
We have about 30 or so mods, mostly small quality of life stuff and few character mods
Any clues on what the issue might be?

there were some mods for splitscreen, but they are most likely outdated, since deprecated in the thunderstore, though maaaybe they work, may as well try the console command for splitscreen too if anything
to open the console you can try the debugtoolkit mod, it has a keybind for it
yeah, both mod aint working, so better go with test_splitscreen on console for now until someone tries to fix them at some point

it places the camera a bit in front of you so i used that before to take images
I was trying that but the void particle effects from the dmg during the boss running sections bleeds through the camera, maybe console god mode will disable them or no clip perhaps
think it stills hits you even though you dont take damage

that gives you access to synergies after you use a cube that spawns after you defeat a stage boss, seems to give custom items on using the cube to use synergies, and those lets you use custom survivors from the mod from what i read
26 items from looking at that screenshot, suppose it works by combining 2 items you have in that cube and giving you one of those modded ones

yes, in fact a lot of mods in their description tells you if they are server side(only the host needs them), client side(just you see the changes) or if all the ones playing together needs them to work well
you can have something like a skin but if the others dont have it they wont see it and vice-versa
also, you can join a modded game in vanilla too, though you wont see the changes aside from the ones that are server side from the host
if everyone has the mods then should work for everyone and if the mods dont have problems updating things for the rest of the players, though it should be also in the readme/description if they do or dont
best if everyone has them too also even if is server side
in short just go for it
try using the proper save mod too if someone happens to crash you can just reload the save and get back to where you were

Deprecation is a manual process that requires someone requesting it. It's not a surefire indication that a mod works just because it's not stated

Stage 4 I often find myself having to grind out enemies
I end up wasting time trying to get enough gold for the legendary chest and the difficulty spikes on stage 5
if you need to grind on stage 4 you're playing too fast
I envision a world whith actually fun beacons that have cooldowns
Equipment Beacon on a cooldown would be pretty cool

In my experience the red chest is usually 4-6k with "I see You" difficulty by the time I hit stage 4
FYI, I don't know if this is known, but using ProperSave yesterday caused Marwan's Ash to break and no longer apply its damage to enemies
